Ford's "Quiet" Features Help Mustang Drivers Be Good Neighbors

We've all had that moment. You're driving through your neighborhood in your car, smiling to yourself as your engine growls like a hungry bear. What you don't notice are the annoyed glares of your neighbors who are counting the seconds until you finally drive away.

Overly loud engine noises are considered by many people to be among the most annoying and disruptive sounds around. Luckily, Ford's 2018 Mustang GT will have new "Quiet" features you can use to be the polite neighbor you want to be while still enjoying your car.

When you first get into your car, you can switch on Quiet Start. This will close the valves on your Coyote V8 engine, minimizing the noises it makes when you start the car. You can then switch the car over to Quiet Exhaust mode and keep the volume down until you're on roads where you can more appropriately cut loose. For more convenience, you can even set up custom time windows during which the Quiet options will trigger automatically.

If the 2018 Mustang GT's Quiet options sound interesting, you should give us a call at Butler County Ford. The Ford experts at our Butler, PA location will happily answer your questions and give you a tour of our inventory of new Ford cars. Be sure to check out the 2017 Ford Mustang (still an excellent car).
